Hone, the brainchild of Jennifer Huynh and Jacqueline Loganathan, is a promising new startup in the home renovation space. Their focus? DIY home projects that are perfect for beginners. The two co-founders are no strangers to the world of entrepreneurship, having already pursued solo ventures in the past. However, it was during a casual coffee date that they realized they were both working on ideas related to interior design. So they decided to merge their ideas and visions to create Hone, a mission-driven brand that aims to make home improvement accessible to everyone.
We exist to empower people to hone new skills while they bring their home transformations to life.
Jennifer and Jacqueline, Co-founders of Hone
With a spark of inspiration, Jennifer and Jacqueline set out to create an innovative company that would provide homeowners with the tools and resources they need to tackle home improvement projects on their own. Their goal is to make DIY projects more achievable, catering to those who are new to the DIY world.
Hone’s First Line of DIY Home Projects
At this time, the brand has introduced three Project Guides in a digital format, with Project Kits launching next. These Digital Guides were designed to assist DIY enthusiasts in their accent wall projects.
Hone’s DIY projects are designed to be beginner-friendly, with step-by-step instructions, a measurement guide, a scheduling planner, and a shopping list with direct product links. From creating stunning Wood Slats to Board and Batten Accent Wall Panelling, Hone’s projects are perfect for anyone who wants to improve their home, regardless of their skill level.
In each project guide, you will find the following digital files:
- Step-by-Step Instruction Guide (PDF)
- Planner with 3 sections: Scheduler, Measurement Guide, and Shopping List with prices and product links (Excel or Google Sheet)
- Welcome document (PDF)

What’s next for Hone?
Hone is currently testing a variety of DIY home projects with the goal of introducing DIY Project Kits to their customers in the future. While their offerings are still relatively limited, their vision for a mission-driven brand has already begun to take shape, as they are inspiring others to take on home improvement projects and make their living spaces truly their own.
